Two anthropologists flew to the islands in the southern ocean to study the native tribes. They went to two adjacent islands and start working. A few months later one of them took a canoe to another island to see what his partner. When he got there, he found another anthropologist standing among indigenous groups.
"Greetings, How are you?!" Said anthropologist visiting.
"Good!" Said another, "I have discovered an important fact about the local language here! Look! "
He pointed to the palm tree and said, "What's that?"
Indigenous people, together, saying "Umbalo-gong!"
He then pointed to the stone and said, "and that?"
The natives again intone "Umbalo-gong!"
"Look!", Says anthropologist beamed, "They use the same word for 'rock' and for 'palm tree'!"
"That's really amazing!" Says anthropologist only wonder, "On the island side, it means 'index finger' ..."
